The English window has shut. Richarlison's summer has not.
According to the Daily Mail, the Tottenham forward has agreed personal terms with Trabzonspor and is pushing to complete a move before the Turkish deadline. Spurs cannot replace him now, which is exactly the kind of detail that makes these late deals so awkward for the selling club.
Why he wants out
Richarlison joined Tottenham from Everton in 2022 and has never quite settled into a consistent run. Roberto De Zerbi's arrival brought a reshaped forward line, and the club spent heavily this summer, including £75m on Brazil winger Savio and a loan deal for Mykhailo Mudryk from Chelsea.
Spurs have spent around £300m and sit at the wrong end of the table. Minutes were always going to be scarce.
Trabzonspor offer regular football and a league where he would be a marquee name. For a 29-year-old whose Brazil place has slipped away, that matters more than it once did.

Richarlison is not the only player left in limbo. Folarin Balogun, who walked away from an Everton move on deadline day after passing a medical, may now have to look at Turkey or Saudi Arabia, according to ESPN.
Everton themselves are not ready to go into the free-agent market despite a farcical end to their window, the Telegraph reports. They sold Beto to Fiorentina, missed on Balogun, and had a bid for Joshua Zirkzee turned down by Manchester United.
There was also an unusual intervention from the agent of Crystal Palace's Ismaila Sarr and Monaco's Lamine Camara, who accused clubs of failing to respect African players after both his clients missed out on deadline-day moves.

Burnley hijacked Blackburn Rovers' deal for Reo Hatate while the midfielder was travelling to join them, according to talkSPORT. Celtic's pursuit of Torino's Gvidas Gineitis looks to have collapsed hours before the Europa League squad deadline, per the Daily Record. And Nicolas Raskin's representatives are said to be optimistic about a move from Rangers to Besiktas.
What happens next
Turkish clubs have until their own deadline to get deals over the line, so Richarlison's situation should resolve quickly one way or the other. If it goes through, Tottenham lose a forward they cannot replace until January.
De Zerbi has not commented publicly. Spurs travel to Nottingham Forest on Saturday.
