The 22-year-old is joining a Tottenham side managed by Roberto De Zerbi, who arrived from Marseille at the end of last season. Spurs are also reported to be in discussions about a potential double deal with City that would bring Omar Marmoush to north London as well. If that move also goes through before the deadline, Tottenham could head into the new season with one of the more exciting forward lines in the top flight.

That said, Savinho's critics will note that his end product — goals and assists — needs to improve from his debut City campaign.
