BACHMANN JOINS DEPORTIVO! WATFORD KEEPER HEADS TO SPAIN ON SEASON-LONG LOAN
Watford goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann has sealed a season-long loan switch to Spanish Segunda División side Deportivo La Coruña.
The 31-year-old Austria international has been sidelined since January after sustaining ankle ligament damage in a Championship clash with Sheffield United. His absence saw the Hornets recruit Norwegian stopper Egil Selvik from sister club Udinese — a move that ultimately cemented Selvik as the club’s first-choice keeper.
Bachmann, who has made 138 appearances for Watford since joining from Stoke City in 2017, will aim to reignite his career in Spain. Deportivo, who faced Watford in a pre-season friendly just weeks ago, will hope his experience can aid their push for promotion.
