Darwin Núñez is poised to bring his three-year spell at Liverpool to an end, with the club agreeing a deal worth up to £56.6 million with Al Hilal. The Uruguayan striker is expected to finalise personal terms with the Saudi Pro League side in the coming days, completing a high-profile move that signals the next chapter in his career.

Núñez joined Liverpool in 2022 from Benfica for an initial £64 million, with add-ons that pushed the potential value of the deal significantly higher. Despite flashes of promise and periods of strong form, the 25-year-old never fully settled into a consistent role under Jürgen Klopp, often finding himself rotated or shifted across the front line.

During his time at Anfield, Núñez made 143 appearances in all competitions and scored 40 goals, playing a part in Liverpool’s domestic and European campaigns but struggling at times with finishing and tactical discipline.
