Muric joins Sassuolo on loan from Ipswich

MURIC JOINS SASSUOLO! IPSWICH KEEPER HEADS TO SERIE A ON SEASON-LONG LOAN

Ipswich Town goalkeeper Arijanet Muric has completed a temporary switch to Serie A side Sassuolo for the 2025/26 campaign.

The 26-year-old featured 18 times for the Tractor Boys last season, their lone year back in the Premier League, following a £10m move from Burnley. His first-choice status faded in the second half of the campaign after the arrival of Alex Palmer from West Bromwich Albion, with a shoulder injury ruling Muric out of the final 11 league games.

Capped by Kosovo, Muric began his career at Manchester City, making five appearances during their 2018-19 Carabao Cup triumph, although Pep Guardiola opted for Ederson in the final. Loan spells in England, the Netherlands, Spain, and Turkey followed before a permanent move to Burnley, where he played a key role in their 2022-23 promotion push.

Now in Italy, Muric will look to reignite his career and challenge for the number-one spot at Sassuolo.
