Manchester City are heading to Wembley again. For the fourth consecutive season, Pep Guardiola's men have reached the FA Cup final — and they did it the hard way, coming from behind to beat Southampton 2-1 in a gripping semi-final that had it all. Late goals, stunning strikes, and that relentless City spirit that just refuses to die.

Southampton, playing with nothing to lose and everything to prove, shocked the Etihad-trained giants by taking an early lead. For a while, it looked like the Championship side might be writing one of Wembley's great upset stories. City's first half was sluggish, uncharacteristically passive, and the Saints smelled blood.

Azaz Opens the Door

It was Finn Azaz who started City's stunning turnaround. The midfielder, brought on to inject some energy into a flat performance, combined brilliantly before sliding home to level things up. The goal shifted the momentum entirely. City, once stirred, are rarely stopped. The crowd that had been holding its breath exhaled with relief, and from that moment Southampton's resistance began to crack.

Gonzalez Produces the Moment of the Match

The winning goal will be talked about for a while. Nico Gonzalez, City's dynamic midfielder, picked up the ball outside the box, took one touch to set himself, and unleashed a strike that flew into the top corner with such venom that even the goalkeeper barely moved. Pundits called it "unstoppable" — that's not an understatement. It was the kind of goal that wins games and books legacies. City were through, and the man who put them there had delivered something truly special.

City's Remarkable Cup Run Continues

For Manchester City, this is becoming routine — and yet it never feels ordinary. Four successive FA Cup finals is a feat that speaks to the extraordinary depth and consistency of this squad. While their Premier League title challenge continues to keep Arsenal honest, Guardiola's men now have a real shot at domestic silverware. Their opponents in the final will be determined when Chelsea face Leeds in Sunday's semi-final at Wembley.

City's ability to find goals when it matters most, to turn games with a moment of individual brilliance, remains their greatest weapon. Gonzalez's winner was a perfect encapsulation of that. Southampton played well and deserved better — but on the day, class told.

What's Next for City?

With the Premier League title race finely poised and Champions League semi-final commitments still to come, Guardiola has plenty on his plate. But a fourth FA Cup final in four years gives this City squad yet another chance at glory. Whoever comes out of the Chelsea-Leeds tie, City will be favourites — and dangerous ones at that. The cup dream is very much alive at the Etihad.
