Friday's papers have Chelsea at the front of the queue for a Bournemouth midfielder, Bayern Munich sniffing around Barcelona's squad again, and Jude Bellingham putting a stop to one of the summer's more persistent English rumours. Here is what is being written, and who is writing it.
Chelsea first in line for Scott
The Mail reports that if Alex Scott becomes available in January, Chelsea will head the queue. The England-eligible midfielder is 23 and has been linked with the club before this month, so the interest is not new, only firmer. Elsewhere in the same window, Chelsea are said by Caught Offside to be one of four Premier League clubs watching Manchester City's Uzbekistan defender Abdukodir Khusanov, 22, and one of three clubs, with Tottenham and Newcastle, keeping an eye on Atalanta's Italy defender Giorgio Scalvini, also 22.
Chelsea's summer business gets a mention of a different kind too. The Telegraph says there is no January exit clause in the season-long loan that took Alejandro Garnacho to Aston Villa, so the 22-year-old Argentina winger stays in the Midlands whatever happens between now and the new year.
Bellingham says no to City
Fichajes in Spain reports that Jude Bellingham intends to extend his contract at Real Madrid and has no interest in a move to Manchester City. The England midfielder is 23. The same outlet says Barcelona will have to sell before they can buy in January, with Inter Milan's Italy defender Alessandro Bastoni, 27, on their list of targets.
Barcelona may be losing one as well. Sky Sports reports Bayern Munich are considering a January approach for Dani Olmo, the 28-year-old forward who won the World Cup with Spain, with a valuation of somewhere around 60m pounds attached.
Morton back to Anfield, Alisson to Italy
Teamtalk has Liverpool weighing up bringing Tyler Morton back from Lyon. The 23-year-old English midfielder came through at Anfield and left for France, and Nottingham Forest, Crystal Palace and Brighton are all said to be watching the situation. At the other end of the age range and the other end of the pitch, Football Italia reports Juventus could revive their interest in Alisson, with the 33-year-old Brazil goalkeeper's Liverpool future described as uncertain.
