Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal worth at least £22m for Daniel Munoz, reuniting the Colombia full-back with Oliver Glasner.

Munoz has been given permission to have a medical, BBC Sport reported on Friday evening. Talks had run for several days and moved quickly once Palace lost 4-1 to Manchester City.
Glasner gets his player back
Glasner managed Munoz at Selhurst Park and used him as a right wing-back who does the work of two players. Munoz was central to Palace's FA Cup win and their Europa Conference League run, which are the two best things that have happened to that club in living memory.
Managers repeat themselves when they change jobs. Glasner has a system that needs a specific type of player in that role, and he has just bought the one he trusts most.
Why Palace are selling
Munoz is 30 and has just under two years left on his contract. Palace signed him from Genk in 2024. On those numbers, this summer is the last window where they can get a serious fee, and £22m for a full-back entering his thirties is a sensible piece of business.
Losing him still hurts. Palace have built a lot of their attacking width down that side.
Forest's busy weekend
- £22m minimum agreed with Crystal Palace for Daniel Munoz
- Reece Hutchinson set for a loan move to AC Milan
- £40m bid submitted for Everton's 19-year-old Harrison Armstrong
- Drew 2-2 at Anfield on Saturday, with Dan Ndoye and Morgan Gibbs-White scoring
The Armstrong bid is the one causing noise. Everton supporters chanted about a "riot" if the England Under-19 international is sold, and David Moyes has publicly acknowledged their anger.
The confusing bit
There are now two Munozes in this story. Daniel Munoz is the Colombian defender joining Forest. Victor Munoz is the Spain winger who scored Liverpool's equaliser against Forest on Saturday. They are not related, and one of them will spend the season being introduced incorrectly by commentators.
Deadline day
The Premier League window shuts at 23:00 BST on Monday 31 August. Clubs can submit a deal sheet for two extra hours of paperwork time.
Forest look like a club with a plan and money to execute it. Palace, having already lost this deal, will spend Monday trying not to lose another.
