Tottenham Hotspur have added to their summer spending by agreeing a deal to sign Brazilian winger Savinho from Manchester City for a reported £65 million. The 21-year-old arrives at Spurs as one of the most exciting attacking talents in European football and gives Ange Postecoglou a genuine game-changer on the flanks.

Savinho made his name during a stunning loan spell at Girona, where he was one of the standout performers in La Liga, before Manchester City exercised their option to buy him. His time at the Etihad brought more consistency, but City's decision to cash in reflects their own squad reorganisation rather than any doubts about his quality.

The Brazilian's electric pace, direct running and ability to beat defenders one-on-one make him an ideal fit for Postecoglou's attacking system. Spurs have needed a natural wide attacker capable of stretching defences, and Savinho fits that profile precisely.

For Tottenham, the signing continues what has become a remarkable transfer window. Having already broken their record to bring in Sandro Tonali, adding Savinho underlines the serious intent behind their summer rebuild. Together, these two signings represent a genuine step forward in quality and ambition.

City will use the funds to accelerate their own recruitment. The sale makes sense financially for the club and gives Savinho the opportunity to establish himself as a starting player at a club where he is likely to be first choice.
