Luis Sinisterra joins Brazilian club Cruzeiro on a loan deal

BOURNEMOUTH'S LUIS SINISTERRA JOINS CRUZEIRO ON LOAN WITH OBLIGATION TO BUY

Bournemouth winger Luis Sinisterra has completed a move to Brazil, joining Cruzeiro on a season-long loan that includes an obligation to buy.

The deal will see the Belo Horizonte side pay an initial £2 million for the temporary switch, before triggering a clause that will make the transfer permanent for £10m next summer.

Sinisterra only made his stay on the south coast permanent earlier this year after signing from Leeds United in February 2024. Since then, the Colombian international has clocked up 36 appearances for the Cherries across all competitions, showcasing flashes of his attacking flair but struggling for consistent starts under Andoni Iraola.

The 25-year-old now takes on a new challenge in South America with Cruzeiro, who are currently flying high in third place in the Brazilian Série A. The timing of the move means he arrives midway through their domestic campaign, with the club hoping his pace and creativity can give them an extra edge in their push for a strong finish.

For Bournemouth, the transfer provides both financial stability and room to reshape their squad, while for Sinisterra, it’s a chance to revive his career and re-establish himself as a key player in a team pushing for silverware in Brazil.
