BLACKBURN ROVERS SIGN JAPAN INTERNATIONAL RYOYA MORISHITA
Blackburn Rovers have completed the signing of Japanese international Ryoya Morishita from Legia Warsaw. The 28-year-old has agreed a three-year deal at Ewood Park, with the option of extending for an additional season.
Comfortable both as a defender and in more advanced wide positions, Morishita offers versatility to the squad. He began his career in Japan with Sagan Tosu before moving on to Nagoya Grampus, where his performances earned him recognition and a move to Europe.
In early 2024, he joined Legia Warsaw and made an immediate impact in Poland. During his first year with the club, he contributed 14 goals and 14 assists in all competitions. His standout display came in the Polish Cup final, where he scored once and set up two goals in Legia’s victory over Pogon Szczecin.
Blackburn hope his creativity, work rate, and international experience will provide a fresh dimension as they push for success in the Championship this season.
