LINCOLN CITY SIGN COLCHESTER WINGER OSCAR THORN FOR UNDISCLOSED FEE
Lincoln City have announced the signing of young winger Oscar Thorn from Colchester United for an undisclosed fee.
The 21-year-old has committed to a four-year contract at the LNER Stadium and makes the move after featuring five times for Colchester this season.
Thorn’s football journey began in the academy at Arsenal before he went on to sign his first professional deal with Norwich City in 2021. In January 2023, he joined Colchester, later gaining valuable first-team experience during loan spells at Bath City and Chelmsford City.
Head coach Michael Skubala expressed his excitement about the addition, saying:
"We are delighted to welcome Oscar to the club. He’s quick, powerful, and direct in his play. He carries the ball with confidence and gives us another attacking option that suits the way we want to play. His physical qualities also fit the profile we are looking for in this squad."
Lincoln, who continue their League Cup campaign with a second-round tie against Burton Albion at the Pirelli Stadium tonight, will be hoping Thorn can make an impact as they push forward this season.
