EXCLUSIVE: Wolves complete signing of Hellas Verona speedster Tchatchoua

TCHATCHOUA JOINS WOLVES ON FIVE-YEAR DEAL IN £10.8M TRANSFER

Wolves have added serious pace to their backline with the capture of Jackson Tchatchoua from Hellas Verona for €12.5m (£10.8m). The versatile full-back has committed to a five-year stay at Molineux.

The 23-year-old Cameroon international, who can operate both as a right-back and wing-back, gained attention in Serie A last season as one of the league’s quickest players. He averaged an impressive 34.88 km/h and even clocked a top speed of 36.3 km/h, underlining his explosive athleticism.

Tchatchoua’s career began at Charleroi in Belgium before a loan spell in Italy led to a permanent move to Verona in 2024. His final season there showcased his attacking drive, producing two goals and three assists across 37 appearances.

The defender becomes Wolves’ fifth major signing of the summer, joining Jorgen Strand Larsen (£23m), Fer Lopez (£19m), Jhon Arias (£15m) and David Moller Wolfe (£10m), as the club reshapes its squad ahead of the new campaign.

With his speed and ability to transition quickly from defence to attack, Tchatchoua could prove a valuable asset in Gary O’Neil’s system as Wolves push to build on last season’s progress.
