Rotherham sign Everton forward Sherif on season-long loan

 

ROTHERHAM SIGN EVERTON FORWARD SHERIF ON SEASON-LONG LOAN

Rotherham United have bolstered their attacking options with the arrival of Martin Sherif, who joins on a season-long loan from Everton.

The 19-year-old forward is highly regarded at Goodison Park but is yet to feature for the Toffees’ senior side. He has shown promise at youth level, hitting 21 goals in 48 matches in the U18 Premier League, while also netting five times for Everton’s U21s in Premier League 2.

The temporary switch to the New York Stadium will give Sherif his first taste of senior football, with the deal still awaiting clearance from the Premier League, EFL and FA.

Sherif becomes part of Steve Evans’ squad as Rotherham look to make a strong push in League One this season. The Millers’ next challenge comes against Wigan Athletic on Saturday, where fans will be eager to see their new signing in action.
