HULL CITY COMPLETE SIGNING OF FORMER CAYKUR RIZESPOR FORWARD DAVID AKINTOLA ON A TWO-YEAR CONTRACT
Hull City have completed the signing of David Akintola, with the Nigerian attacker penning a two-year contract at the MKM Stadium.
The 29-year-old arrives from Çaykur Rizespor, where he featured regularly last season in the Turkish Super Lig, finding the net four times across 45 appearances. Before that, he impressed with Adana Demirspor, establishing himself as a reliable and hard-working wide option.
Akintola, who has also played in Denmark and Norway earlier in his career, called the move to England the realisation of a lifelong ambition.
“Playing in England has always been my dream. Growing up in Nigeria, this is the league everyone follows. Now I’m here, I want to give everything for Hull and help the club push towards success.”
Known for his pace, pressing ability and versatility across the forward line, Akintola is expected to provide both experience and energy to Tim Walter’s squad as Hull target a strong Championship campaign.
