Atlético reach advanced talks for €23m-rated Stuttgart star

ATLETICO'S SUMMER SPREE CONTINUES! SIMEONE LAUNCHES STUTTGART TALKS AFTER €23M MIDFIELDER DEAL

Atletico Madrid have taken a significant step toward bolstering their midfield by agreeing personal terms with Stuttgart’s Enzo Millot, as Diego Simeone sets out to refresh his squad ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.

The 23-year-old French midfielder, who played a key role in Stuttgart’s impressive Bundesliga campaign, has been on the radar of several top European clubs this summer. However, Atletico have now moved ahead in the race after positive talks with the player and his representatives.

Millot, known for his composure on the ball, intelligent passing, and attacking drive, fits the profile Simeone is targeting as he looks to add more fluidity and creativity to Atletico’s engine room. With long-serving players such as Koke and Saúl Ñíguez entering the twilight of their careers and Rodrigo De Paul attracting transfer interest from abroad, the Rojiblancos are eager to inject youth and dynamism into their midfield.

While personal terms have been agreed, Atletico still need to finalize an agreement with Stuttgart. The German side reportedly value Millot at around €25–30 million, and while negotiations are ongoing, sources close to the deal suggest there is confidence on both sides that a transfer can be concluded in the coming weeks.

For Simeone, Millot represents a versatile option — capable of operating as a central midfielder, a No. 10, or even in a wide playmaking role. His press resistance and vision would offer a new dimension to Atletico’s transition play, especially as the club looks to challenge domestically and go deeper in Europe next season.

Millot is believed to be enthusiastic about the prospect of working under Simeone and playing in La Liga, viewing Atletico as the perfect next step in his career.

If all goes to plan, he could become one of the club’s early marquee signings of the summer.
